Mumbai, After Telugu superstar Jr NTR's "Devra" was shifted to September 27, Alia Bhatt's upcoming film "Jigra" has been postponed and will now hit the theaters on October 11.

"Jigra", his first collaboration with filmmaker Vasan Bala, was earlier scheduled to release on September 27, while "Devra", a pan-Indian film by Koratala Siva, was scheduled to hit the theaters on October 10.

Billed as a high-octane action drama set in India's forgotten coastal lands, "Devra" is a two-part epic from filmmaker Koratala Siva. The first part of the film, titled "Devra: Part 1", also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.

The official X page of "Devra" shared the new release date of the film.

The post read, "Warning notices are being sent across all coasts regarding their imminent arrival. Man of Masses @Tarak9999's #Devra will be in theaters from 27th September."

The film is produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, and presented by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram.

Karan Johar's Dharma Productions on Thursday evening shared the new release date of "Jigra", which marks Alia's first film with filmmaker Vasan Bala, on its social media handle.

The banner posted on Instagram, "An arduous journey to protect...your Jigra! Starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina - #Jigra will hit the theaters on October 11, 2024."

Starring "The Archies" actor Vedang Raina, "Jigra" is also backed by Bhatt's Eternal Sunshine Productions. Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Bhatt and Somen Mishra are credited as producers of the upcoming project.
