New Delhi, Jaguar Land Rover India on Wednesday said its retail sales grew 31 per cent year-on-year to 1,371 units in the first quarter ending June 30, 2024.

The automaker had retailed 1,048 units in the April-June quarter of the last financial year.

Sales of both the Defender and Range Rover Evoque have grown by more than 50 per cent with the Defender being the best-selling model in the portfolio, Tata Motors said in a statement.

It said that the share of Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Defender in the total order book is 75 percent.

“Our performance is continuing to conform to our expectations. Along with our strong sales, our order bank has also increased by 10 per cent compared to the beginning of the financial year, reflecting continued growth in demand, while we “We are increasing our supply in the market.” JLR India MD Rajan Amba said.

He said the Defender remains the most sought-after model, and with the exceptional response to the locally manufactured Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, the company is confident of maintaining this momentum and delivering another successful year.

Amba said, the Indian market is responding well to our exciting product lineup.
