Chaibasa: Poppy husk worth Rs 3.15 crore was seized in Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district, police said on Sunday.
He said that on the basis of a secret information, a raid was conducted on Saturday in Paraiya village of Tebo police station area, where 2,100 kg of poppy husk was stored.
Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar said that the poppy husk was filled in 83 plastic bags and hidden in a bush near the Chaki river.
He said a case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and a search is on to nab the smugglers.
