Dhanbad, Rakesh Tiwari, brother-in-law of Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi, died in a road accident here on Saturday. Police gave this information.
He said that Tripathi's sister Sabita Tiwari was injured in the incident.
The accident occurred around 4.30 pm at Nirsa Bazaar on Delhi-Kolkata National Highway-2 when the car in which the couple was travelling, hit a divider, a police officer said.
He was going to West Bengal from Gopalganj district of Bihar.
Rakesh Tiwari was declared dead at Shaheed Nirmal Mahato Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH), Dhanbad, where he was taken after the accident, the official said.
SNMMC Emergency HOD Dr Dinesh Kumar Gindauria said Tripathi's sister, who suffered a fracture in her leg, was out of danger.
