OP Jindal University London [UK], April 12: In an unprecedented achievement and recognition, OP Jindal Global University's Zinda Global Law School has been ranked the No. 1 Law School in India for the 5th consecutive year. Ranked 72nd in the world, it has become the only law school in India to feature in the top-100 in the world. It should be noted that Jindal Global Law School has moved up from 84th to 72nd in the world this year. Rank last year, demonstrating upward trajectory by 12 ranks! To produce this year's rankings, QS analyzed the reputations and research output of nearly 5,000 institutions. From this group 1,561 were ranked across 55 subjects and 5 broad subject areas, making more than 19,100 entries.These figures reflect the scale and breadth of the undertaking that QS undertakes to produce these subject rankings. (79th position), Waseda University, Japan (84th position) and George Washington University, USA (89th position), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore (91st position), Boston University, USA (93rd position) , Shanghai Jiao Ton University, China (ranked 94th), University of Vienna, Austria (ranked 98th) University of Geneva, Switzerland (ranked 99th) in the QS World University Rankings by subject in 2024 In 2023, JGLS researchers ranked 17th in various Scopus Demonstrated their commitment by publishing more papers. -The indexed sources show a significant 25 percent increase over the previous year.Impressively, this output exceeded the combined publications of the top four National Law Schools (NLUs) by 60 per cent, with more than half of JGLS's 2023 publications on Scopus-indexed forums originating from collaborations with national and international institutions. It is not just that I am producing high quality research in which JGLS has achieved success. It has raised the bar of teaching by hiring top-level global talents from academia and the Liga profession, promoting interdisciplinary learning and collaborating with the world's renowned universities. JGLS faculty members come from 3 countries and regions. Since internationalization is the main focus of JGU, JGLS has formed 235 international collaborations with the world's top universities and law schools.JGU is proud of the gender diversity of JGLS students and faculty. While 56 percent of JGLS faculty members are women, I am extremely pleased to share with you that more than 70 percent of the school's leadership positions are held by women. Similarly, the majority of JGLS students (53 percent) are women. I am in line with the University's ethos of equality and inclusivity, generous scholarships are awarded to students based on merit, financial need and academic performance. During the last 15 years, more than 11,500 JGLS students have benefited from various types of scholarships amounting to more than Rs 250 crore.
