Rajouri (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested two notorious drug smugglers and recovered drugs in Rajouri, the official said on Saturday.

During this naka checking, two suspects were observed roaming in suspicious condition, were stopped and searched, when eight grams of heroin like substance was recovered from them, besides a large consignment of banned drugs was also recovered , which included 8000 intoxicating pills. Two suspects were caught on the spot and identified as Mohammad Tamour Malik son of Shakeel Ahmed resident of Thanamang Darhal and Asif Ahmed son of Manir Hussain resident of Kheora Rajouri.
Both have been arrested and an FIR has been registered against both the accused under sections 8, 21, 22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Police said that both the accused are well-known drug smugglers of the area and they had taken a room on rent near Rajouri College in Kheora area of Rajouri city to carry out their illegal activities.
The police further said that an investigation is ongoing to find out the back and forth links regarding the purchase and sale of narcotics.
