Nine people were killed in an attack on a vehicle carrying pilgrims from Shiv Khori temple to Mata Vaishno Devi temple in Katra. Due to indiscriminate firing by terrorists, the 53-seater bus went off the road and fell into a ditch near Teriyath village of Poni.

"We left for Jammu by train on June 4. Our plan included visiting the Maa Vaishno Devi temple on June 9, the day our bus was attacked," he said.

Neelam Gupta told that the terrorists kept firing even after the bus fell into the ditch.“It seems their aim was to kill everyone on the bus,” he said.

The passengers were scared and lay down to avoid being hit by the bullets, he said, adding that "after some time, when the firing stopped and we were sure that the terrorists were gone, the local people took care of the injured." Slowly pulled out of the bus."
