Police said the property, which is a residential house worth around Rs 23 lakh, belongs to notorious drug smuggler Mohammad Sabir Barwal, currently a resident of Jabra Kamalkot in Laghama Uri.
"During the investigation conducted by the police, the property was identified as illegally acquired property," an official said.
He said that community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug trafficking in their neighbourhood.
Police said persons found involved in drug trafficking will be dealt with as per law.
“Our consistent actions against drug smugglers should reassure community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the drug menace,” the police said.
