Officials said a brief exchange of fire was reported at a forward LoC post in Krishna Ghati sector late on Friday evening.

Officials said the army responded immediately and effectively. “There is no report of any casualty from our side in the firing,” an officer said.

Officials said surveillance and vigil has been stepped up around the area to ensure that no infiltration attempts are made during the firing.
