In his address, the Lieutenant Governor extended his best wishes to the progressive farmers, producers and all stakeholders. He said the unique initiative is a testament to the "unwavering commitment of the UT administration to the welfare of farmers and our determination to explore new avenues to bring prosperity in their lives".

The Lieutenant Governor highlighted the reforms and policies of the UT administration under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to harness the potential of the agriculture and horticulture sectors.

LG Sinha said, “The Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP) has emerged as a game-changer for the agriculture and allied sector of Jammu and Kashmir. The 29 projects of HADP have the potential to address the challenges faced by farmers and This will diversify the income source."

The Lieutenant Governor called for collective efforts from all stakeholders for effective ground implementation of HADP, especially in Jammu division.

He asked the agricultural universities to make dedicated interventions that could contribute to increasing the income of farmers in litchi plantation area.

The Lieutenant Governor said that the Jammu and Kashmir administration aims to convert about 160 hectares of litchi cultivation into high-density plantations in the coming few years. He assured all necessary help and assistance from the administration to the farmers in marketing of litchi and other fruits.
