JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday registered a case and raided various properties allegedly worth crores of rupees of a junior engineer here in a disproportionate assets (DA) case. The officers provided this information.
He said that the ACB is probing the DA's allegations of acquisition of a house worth crores of rupees acquired by Dil Pazeer, a junior engineer posted in the Jal Shakti Department in Poonch.
"ACB has registered a case against Dil Pazeer under sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act for possession of assets which are prima facie disproportionate to his known source of income," a spokesperson of the investigating agency said.
The ACB, after registering a formal case under relevant sections of the law, also conducted simultaneous searches at the premises of the accused person in Jammu and Rajouri districts, he said.
