Bareilly, a student of mechanical branch of Industrial Training Institute was shot allegedly by his classmate in CB Ganj area of the city. Police gave this information on Monday.
He said that the victim, 18-year-old Ajit Singh, was a first year student of a certificate course.
According to the police, on Monday, 18-year-old Abhishek Sharma took out a pistol from his bag and shot Ajit in the class.
Police said that Ajit was taken to the local hospital from where he was referred to the medical college.
He said that Abhishek has been taken into custody and a country-made pistol has been recovered from his possession.
