New Delhi, ITC Chairman and Managing Director Sanjeev Puri has assumed charge as the President of the Confederation of Indian Industry for 2024-25, the chamber said on Sunday.

He replaces R Dinesh, president, TVS Supply Chain Solutions.

Puri heads ITC Ltd, a conglomerate with businesses in FMCG, hotels, paperboard and packaging, agribusiness and IT.

He is also the Chairman of ITC Infotech India Limited, its subsidiaries in the US and the US, and Surya Nepal Private Limited.

Rajiv Memani takes over as Chairman-designate of CII for 2024-25. He is the Chairman of the India Region of EY (Ernst & Young), a leading global professional services organization.

He is also a member of EY's global management body as Chairman of the Global Emerging Markets Committee.

R Mukundan, managing director and CEO of Tata Chemicals Limited, took over as the vice-chairman of CII for 2024-25.

"He is a distinguished alumnus of IIT, Roorkee, Fellow of the Indian Chemica Society and an alumnus of Harvard Business School. During his 33-year career with the Tata Group, Mukundan has held various responsibilities in the chemical, automotive and hospitality sectors. Tata Group,” CII said.
