On June 6, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini took oath as the MLA of Karnal at the Haryana Assembly complex under the administration of Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta.
Naib Singh Saini had recently won the assembly by-election in Karnal assembly constituency.
Earlier, he served as the MP from Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency and was sworn in as the Chief Minister of the state just before the Lok Sabha election dates were announced. He was also the state president of Haryana BJP.
Earlier on Monday, Haryana Congress held a meeting under the chairmanship of Leader of Opposition in Haryana Assembly Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Haryana Congress chief Uday Bhan.
The results of the Lok Sabha elections and the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections are expected to be discussed in the meeting. In the meeting, Haryana MLAs and MPs can make strategies for the upcoming assembly elections.
