Sara-Bajot became the third Indian to make it to the medal round at this Munich World Cup, after Ramita and Isha Singh, who had both finished sixth in the previous event finals in air rifle and air pistol.

Among other Indians in men's pistol, Arjun Cheema and Varun Tomar, both shot 582, to finish 10th and 11th respectively. Rhythm Sangwan, the lone Indian in women's air pistol, also could not make much progress and finished 16th with a score of 575.

However, the women's 50m rifle 3-position (3P) team looked sharp as Anjum Moudgil (591), Sift Kaur Samra (588) and Aashi Chouksey (588) advanced to their elimination round.

In men's 3P, Chain Singh (592), Swapnil Kusale and Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar also crossed the elimination hurdle with ease. The 3P shooters will shoot their qualification rounds on Thursday.

China dominated the proceedings and won the gold medal in the men's 25 m rapid-fire pistol with Li Yuhong.

On Tuesday, Vijayveer Sidhu (587) missed a place in the top six final round of the event by one point. Bhavesh Shekhawat (583) stood 11th and Anish (579) stood 22nd.
