Tel Aviv [Israel], Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics released data showing that the country saw a sharp decline in tourism in June 2024 due to the ongoing war against Hamas terrorists in Gaza.

97,700 travelers visited Israel in June 2024. Of these, 96,500 were foreign tourists, down from 355,200 in June 2023 (a decline of 83 percent). Of these, 80,800 arrived by air, which is more than the average of 71,200 in the last three months.

In the first half of 2024, from January to June, 501,100 visitors entered the country, while in the first half of 2023 the number was 2.1 million.
