Margao: Mumbai City FC produced a sensational comeback by scoring three goals in second-half stoppage time to register a 3-2 win over FC Goa in the first leg of the Indian Super League semi-final here on Wednesday.

Powered by strikes from Boris Singh and Brandon Fernandes, the Gaurs looked like they would seal a crucial win in the last-four match as they held a comfortable 2-0 lead till the 90th minute of the match.

But the Islanders did the unthinkable by scoring three times in the last six minutes of the match and captured the crucial win thanks to two goals from Lalianzuala Changte and one goal from Vikra Pratap Singh.

Boris opened the floodgates in the 16th minute by tapping a square ball straight to attacking midfielder Mohammed Yasir. His second goal in the 56th minute was the result of the latter, with Brando breaking free from the ball and depositing the ball into the top corner of the net for his second of the game.

The result appeared to dictate the game even before the final whistle, as the Gores professionally managed proceedings until the 90th minute.

Jayesh Rane played a key role in both Chhangte's goals, scoring the goals with his brilliant balls between close spaces inside the FC Goa box.The first break came amid a quick break where Chhangte picked up the ball on the left side of the six yard box and slid it into the bottom right corner after an accurate ball from Rane.

Two minutes later Vikram's strike came through the rebound, with the attacker perfectly prepared to collect the ball and run in to level the score.

Ultimately, Chhangte tied the game with his first goal of the night a few minutes later.
