New Delhi, According to sources, Indian Revenue Service officer Inderpal Singh Bindra will soon take charge as Secretary of the Competition Commission of India (CCI).

Bindra will replace IRS officer Anupama Anand, who has resigned within eight months of joining the regulator, he said.

Bindra's appointment is for a period of three years from the date of assuming charge.

CCI keeps an eye on unfair trade practices in the market and also works on promoting fair competition.
