On a two-speed surface, Dayal, Vishak and Siraj used their length and pace to bundle out GT for the lowest score at the venue in IPL 2024. Cameron Green and Karn Sharma also supported him by taking one wicket each.

Shahrukh Khan, David Miller and Rahul Tewatia contributed big scores of 30, but none of them converted it into a big innings and GT was out for the third time this season.

Coming in to bat first, Wriddhiman Saha's poor form continued when Sira found late movement on a short and wide ball, which was good enough to get the outside edge. This was the fourth time that Siraj dropped Saha from the IPL.Siraj again got the movement late on when he forced Gill to whip and eventually took the lead with deep point. Sai Sudarshan, who has been a consistent performer, fell to mid-off against Green without footwork and top-edge as G finished the power-play at a modest score of 23/3, the highest in this six-over match of IPL 2024. The stage has the lowest total.

After a scrappy power-play, GT got a few boundaries, starting with Shahrukh cutting Vishak in the seventh over. He and Miller, after being dropped by Karn Sharma off Green on 23, got some great timing in their shots to keep Gee's innings going as 38 runs came from 8-11 overs.

Shahrukh completed the 50-run partnership for the fourth wicket by hitting a 94 meter long six to Green over long-on in the 11th over. But RCB began to fight-back in successive overs - Miller was out to long-on off Karn after hitting C at extra cover, while Shahrukh was run out by a direct hit from Virat Kohli at the non-striker's end.

Tewatia, liking Karn, scored 19 runs in the 16th over with three fours and a six, after which Rashid hit two fours on Siraj in the next over. But Dayal put an end to the 44-run partnership by taking down Rashid's leg-stump with a yorker, before dismissing Tewatia with a short ball which the third man took a diving catch off the top edge.

Vaishyak bounced back to dismiss Manav Suthar and Vijay Shankar apart from running out Mohit Sharma in the final over as RCB got a hat-trick of dismissing GT without using three balls in their innings.Brief Scores: Gujarat Titans vs Royal Challengers Bangalore 147 in 19.3 overs (Shahrukh Khan 37, Rahul Tewati 35; Yash Dayal 2-21, Visak Vijayakumar 2-23)
