But Cummins believes that data is just one factor in facilitating the on-field planning and decision-making process.

"I think data and analytics are there as a tool to use, but that's just a fact in the decision-making process. We play a lot of T20 games, but the two games are not exactly the same. It's different -There are different wickets and opponents. So, data only takes you so far.“So, I think there's still a strong place for gut feeling and intuition. The data doesn't tell you that it's probably going to be successful. So, you need to strike a balance between the objective data you collect and what you are feeling out there,” he said at the pre-final press conference.

Cummins also feels that his Midas touch as a leader may be lost in the future, as he has never captained a T20 team before and has had mediocre performances in the T20 format.

“It would be great (to win the title) but this trend will stop at some point. It's been a great few years, but I have never captained a T2 cricket team before this series. So, I'm not quite sure what to expect? It’s fast-paced,” he said.

SRH were placed at the bottom of the points table last year and are now potentially on the verge of completing a great run to win the championship. Cummins credited the good mix of experienced and young players in SRH Setu for clicking together and making the team a formidable one. Unit."It's huge. We have a very experienced bowling line-up, including (Jaydev) Unadkat and Bhuvi (Bhuvneshwar Kumar). Also, a lot of young players have come in and won us matches on their own, like Nitish (Reddy) and Abhishek (Sharma). We also have guys who have been away from the Indian setup but they have been brilliant, that's the story of our team."

Cummins signed off by insisting on ignoring outside noise ahead of Sunday's title clash."Obviously there's a lot of pressure from the number of fans watching, the media, the journalists, but also their own teams back home or their own coaches and everything. So, you try and overcome it."

"When they're all starting out, young guys always play with a lot more freedom, so you just want to keep encouraging that and keep giving them the freedom to play how they want. If that doesn't work, you can Are ready for it." Help them deal with it instead of scolding them or asking them to change."
