Tezpur (Assam), state party in-charge Ashok Singha said the BJP is hoping to win power for the third consecutive time in the elections in Arunachal Pradesh later this week, based on the development work done in the last 10 years.

In an interview, he claimed that the infrastructure developed in the state is better than anywhere else in the country.

"There has been development work in Arunachal Pradesh in the last 10 years. With the concern with which Prime Minister Narendra Modi takes care of the Northeast, people have understood that this is the only party that will look after their interests," Singhal said.

He said, “Except BJP, people have lost faith in all other parties and that is why we have won 1 seat unopposed.,

Singhal, who is also a minister in the Assam government, said the BJP was aiming for a strike rate of 90 per cent in the elections and was hoping to win not less than 55 of the 60 assembly seats.

He also expressed confidence of winning two Lok Sabha seats in the state with a big margin.

The BJP's manifesto for the Arunachal Pradesh elections was focused on three main issues – promoting economic activities including exploring the tourism potential and adding value to the natural resources found in the state, developing education and health care infrastructure and most importantly Empowering poor people. , He said.

Singhal claimed that the infrastructure developed in Arunachal Pradesh is better than any other state in the country, including four-lane roads, interconnected districts and approved border highways.He said that the work that the government has done in the last 10 years is visible to the people and that is why they believe that whatever promise the BJP makes, I fulfill it.

He said that people's trust in BJP was seen when more than 1 lakh people attended the recent rally addressed by PM Modi in Itanagar.

Singhal said, "We were expecting a crowd of 50,000-55,000, but the turnout was more than lakh. The people of Itanagar came to the rally on their own. This happens when there is tremendous goodwill, respect and support.,

Asked whether the border dispute with China is an election issue in the state, he claimed, "China is an external issue. It has nothing to do with the electoral process of the state of Arunachal Pradesh. The Ministry of External Affairs is fully equipped Is." Deal with this issue."

Singhal said, “Congress looked at Arunachal Pradesh as the last point of India.But PM Modi described this village as the first village in the country and decided to create the best infrastructure."

Referring to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's visit to the border village O Kibithu last year, he said it shows the commitment of the BJP-led government towards the people.

Voting will be held simultaneously on April 19 for 50 assembly seats and two Lok Sabha constituencies in Arunachal Pradesh.
