Jakarta [Indonesia], China's Chen Yufei defeated South Korea's An Seong in the women's singles final of the Indonesia Open 2024 on Sunday.

China's Shi Yu Qi won against Denmark's Anders Antonsen 21-9, 12-21, 21-14 in the men's singles final match at the Indonesia Open 2024. On the other hand, in the women's singles final, Chen registered a 14-21, 21-14 and 18-21 win over her South Korean opponent.

Chen dominated the first game and won 14-21. The South Korean opponent made a comeback in the second game and secured a 21–14 win. However, in the final game, the Chinese shuttler kept her nerve and won 18-21 to clinch the Indonesia Open 2024 women's singles final.

On the other hand, in the men's singles final, Xi dominated the first game and won 9-21. But in the second game, the Danish players came back brilliantly and won 21-12. However, Xi won the final game 14–21.

Indian shuttler Lakshya had to accept defeat against Anders Antonsen of Denmark in the quarter-finals of men's singles. The Indian players lost 24-22 and 21-18 against their Danish rivals in the match that lasted 61 minutes. Lakshya was the only Indian left in the Indonesia Open 2024.

There was an equal contest between Lakshya and Antonsen in the first game. The Danish shuttler took an early 3-0 lead, but Sen moved ahead and led 8-5. At the time of the break, the Indian players were leading 11-10 and managed to reduce it to 20-18. However, Antonsen bounced back in the fight.
