Mumbai: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Friday said India's rise is gradual, unstoppable and it is getting praise from global institutions.

Delivering a lecture at the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) University here, Dhankhar said India's rise in the next five years will be like a rocket that defies the force of gravity.

He said that education is the most effective transformational mechanism to achieve equality.

“India used to be considered a sleeping giant, but it is no longer so. We are moving forward, our rise is gradual, unstoppable and (it) is getting praise from global institutions,” he said.

Dhankhar said India has actually reached a level where global institutions that try to advise it are taking advice from it.

He stressed that all this happened as recently as a decade.
