New Delhi: Railway passengers traveling in unreserved coaches are not getting hygienic food and snacks at affordable prices at stations under a Railways initiative, an official said.

These food counters are operational at more than 100 stations and around 150 counters across Indian Railways, and this facility will be expanded further.

"Indian Railways, in collaboration with Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), is stepping up to serve passengers, especially in unreserved coaches, with a new initiative that includes hygienic food at affordable prices," the railway official said. And snacks are being offered."
