New Delhi: Public sector undertaking (PSU), Indian Oil Corporation, on Thursday promised to provide monthly scholarship and medical insurance to the country's para athletes following their stellar performance at the recently concluded Paris Paralympics.

The Indian contingent created history by securing 29 medals, including seven gold, nine silver and 13 bronze, which is the country's best performance so far at the Paralympics in Paris.

Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Pankaj Jain expressed his appreciation for the para athletes and announced that Indian Oil will further extend its support by launching monthly scholarships, medical insurance and sports kits for para athletes.

"This historic performance is a testament to the resilience and determination of our para athletes," Indian Oil President and Director (Marketing) V. Satish Kumar said during a felicitation ceremony here on Thursday.

“IndianOil is proud to support them in this incredible journey, and we are committed to standing with them as they continue to break barriers and achieve excellence.”
