Dusseldorf (Germany): The Indian junior women's hockey team lost 4-6 to the Germans in the fifth match of their Europe tour here on Monday.

However, after conceding six goals, India regained their composure by scoring four goals in the second half of the match.

Sanjana Horo, Bhinima Dan and Kanika Siwach scored goals for India.

Like their previous match, Germany scored early in the first quarter and doubled their lead soon after.

Despite falling behind, the Indian defense did well to successfully defend several penalty corners.India got a penalty corner in the last minutes of the first quarter, but the scoreline remained 2-0 in favor of Germany.

India made a positive start to the second quarter but the opposition failed to find the back of the net.

Germany soon scored their third goal and were in a strong position at half time.

Germany continued their dominance in the third quarter and scored three times, including a successful penalty corner conversion, to take a strong 6–0 lead.

But India fought back and got their first goal when Sanjana Horo got on the board at the end of the quarter.India increased the pressure on Germany in the last quarter. Sanjana Hore scored the second goal for India, before Binima Dhan and Kanika Siwach trapped the opponent in the goal to reduce the difference to 4-6.

On Sunday, the Indian team lost 0-1 to Germany in its fourth match.

India had a challenging first quarter as Germany broke the early deadlock and took a 1-0 lead.

The second and third quarters remained goalless, keeping Germany ahead while India worked hard to equalize.Germany almost doubled their lead in the final quarter, but their penalty stroke was denied by the Indian goalkeeper.

With a few minutes left, India's last chance of the match came in the form of a penalty corner, but they failed to capitalize on it and lost 0- to Germany.

India will play its next match against Dutch club Oranje Rood on May 29 in Breda Netherlands.
