Antalya [Turkey], India archer Bhajan Kaur won the gold medal in the women's individual recurve event in Antalya on Sunday and clinched the Paris Olympics quota.

At the Final World Quota Tournament, Kaur defeated top seed Mobina Fallah of the Islamic Republic of Iran 6–2 in the final.

The third-seeded player started his campaign with a bye in the first two rounds. In the third round, they defeated Urantunglag Bishindi of Mongolia 6-1. Kaur defeated Urska Cavic of Slovenia 7-3 in the fourth round to ensure that she continues in the tournament.In the quarterfinals she defeated Wioletta Maczor of Poland 6–0, and in the semi-finals she defeated tenth-seeded Alexandra Mirka of Moldova 6–2.

Her compatriot Ankita Bhakta was also in the mix and made it to the quarterfinals.

She reached the quarterfinals during her campaign. Ninth seed Bhakta had received a bye in the first round.

In the second and third rounds, they won 6–4 and 7–3 over Israel's Shelley Hilton and Mikaela Moshe respectively.But in the quarterfinals she lost 6–4 to Mobina Fallah of Iran.

Meanwhile, former world no. No. 1 Deepika Kumari was eliminated after losing in the third round.

Seeded second, she lost 6–4 to 31st-seeded Yaylagul Ramazanova of Azerbaijan after receiving byes in the first two rounds.

India's individual quotas could be upgraded to team quotas if the men's and women's teams can make the cut through their world rankings on June 24.

Earlier in the tournament, the Indian men's and women's recurve archery teams failed to secure direct team quotas in their respective events from Antalya.The men's team comprising Tarundeep Rai, Dheeraj Bommadevara and Praveen Jadhav lost 5-4 to Mexico in the quarter-finals. Meanwhile, the women's team of Ankita, Bhajan and Deepika suffered a 5-3 defeat to Ukraine in the round of 16.
