New Delhi, India and the US reviewed strategic cooperation in a range of areas including defence, technology, clean energy and maritime domain awareness.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the two sides took the review at the '2+2' inter-sessional meeting held in Delhi on Monday.

"Both sides took stock of the progress and developments on the bilateral agenda including strategic cooperation, defence, technology cooperation, space cooperation, resilient supply chains, clean energy, maritime domain awareness, trilateral cooperation and development cooperation including people-to-people ties." Foreign Ministry said.

It said both sides also had the opportunity to exchange assessments on a number of regional and international issues.

"The 2+2 Intersessional laid the groundwork for the next 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue to advance the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership," the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement late night.

The Indian delegation at the meeting was led by Nagaraj Naidu, Joint Secretary (Americas) in the Ministry of External Affairs, and Vishvesh Negi, Joint Secretary (International Cooperation) in the Defense Ministry.

The US delegation was led by Donald Lu, US Assistant Secretary of Defense for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, and Jedidiah P. Royal, US Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs.
