The India Olympic Research and Education Center was inaugurated on Sunday at the National Defense University in Gandhinagar district of Gujarat.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Indian Olympic Association president and renowned sprinter Shaw said the center will serve as a hub of knowledge, innovation and performance in the Indian sports ecosystem.

Speaking at the event organized at the RRU campus in Lawad, he said that the launch of such a center is a momentous occasion which is an important step in the commitment to excellence in sports and Olympics.

The center will serve as a repository of knowledge, Usha said, containing invaluable data and insights into the Olympics, training methods, sports science and athlete development.

“By working together, sharing knowledge and adopting innovative practices, we can create a stronger sporting culture that nurtures talent from grassroots level to elite level. Let us continue to support and inspire our athletes, empowering them Provide the resources and encouragement they need,” said Usha, who is also a Rajya Sabha MP.
