Dehradun: Launching a scathing attack on opposition party India Bloc, BJ President JP Nadda on Monday said it has nothing to do with the general public and all the parties involved are only concerned about their families.
Addressing an election rally in Mussoorie in support of Mala Rajya Lakshmi Shah, BJP candidate from Tehar Garhwal, Nadda said that on one side is the BJP's manifesto (sankalp patra) which gives the roadmap to a developed India and on the other side is the India Bloc. The components which have their own separate manifesto.
“What will they do for development when they cannot even come together,” he said.
Describing the India Bloc as a group of corrupt people who are either in jail or on bail, he said they were only concerned about saving their families.Naming Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and P. Chidambaram and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders Sanjay Singh, Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, Nadda said that all of them are either in jail or on bail. .
The BJP President asked the public whether they would vote for such people.
"They (the Bharat faction) have nothing to do with you. They are only concerned about saving their families and themselves," he said.
Nadda said all constituents of the opposition group have been involved in scams, be it Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Yadav's fodder scam, Samajwad Party president Akhilesh Yadav's laptop scam or the various scams that took place during the UPA.
The BJP president said it is also a gathering of family-centric parties led by Lalu Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav, Mamata Banerjee (TMC) or Stalin (DMK)."Only your Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party care about you," he said.
Nadda said that this election is not about electing the local MP, but about electing the government under the leadership of Narendra Modi for a developing India.
