Mumbai: Voting will be held on 11 seats in Maharashtra on Monday for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections, where Union Minister Raosaheb Danve, BJ leader Pankaja Munde and actor-turned-politician Amol Kolhe are among the prominent candidates.

Over 2.28 crore voters are eligible to exercise their franchise to decide the fate of 298 candidates in the fourth phase of elections in the state.

The 11 constituencies – Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Raver, Jalna, Aurangabad, Maval Pune, Shirur, Ahmednagar, Shirdi and Beed – are spread across Central Marathwada as well as the northern and western regions of the state.

According to data provided by the office of the state Chief Electoral Officer, voting will take place from 7 am to 6 pm at 23,284 polling stations.

In the 11 constituencies covered in the fourth phase, there are 2,28,01,15 registered voters - 1,18,59,645 men, 1,09,40,234 women and 1,272 persons of the third gender.The BJP has again fielded Union ministers Danve from Jalna constituency and Suja Vikhe Patil from Ahmednagar, and former minister of state Pankaja Munde from Beed.

Actor Amol Kolhe is the NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) candidate from Shirur Lok Sabha seat in Pune district.

In Marathwada, in Jalna it is BJP versus Congress, and in Aurangabad it is Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) versus Chief Minister Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena.

In Beed, the BJP has fielded former minister of state Pankaja Munde in place of sitting MP and her younger sister Pritam Munde. Pankaja's main rival will be Bajrang Sonawane of NCP (SP).In Shirur, sitting NCP (SP) MP Kolhe is facing off against Shivajira Adhalrao Patil, who is contesting as the NCP candidate led by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

After Baramati in Pune district, Shirur is another prestige battle for Aji Pawar, who has publicly said he wants to ensure Kolhe's defeat.

In Nandurbar (ST-Reserved) in North Maharashtra, sitting BJP MP Heena Gavi and Congress's Gowal Padvi are in direct contest.

In Ahmednagar in western Maharashtra, BJP's Sujay Vikhe Patil is contesting against NCP (SP)'s Nilesh Lanke.

Lanke, MLA from Parner in Ahmednagar district, defected to Ajit Pawar after the NCP split in July 2023.However, he later returned to the Sharad Pawar camp.

The fight in Jalgaon is BJP vs NCP (SP).

Even in Raver, which falls under Jalgaon district, the BJP and the Shara Pawar-led outfit are attacking each other.

In Maval in western Maharashtra, the two rival Shiv Senas are facing each other after the 2022 split in the party.

BJP and Congress are the main contenders in Pune city.

In Shirdi constituency, where the famous Saibaba temple is located, the Shinde-led Shiv Sena is taking on the Shiv Sena (UBT).

Maharashtra has 48 Lok Sabha seats, the second highest after 80 in Uttar Pradesh.Voting has been completed on 24 out of 48 seats in the first three phase elections.

In the fifth and final phase, voting will be held on 13 seats on March 20.
