The incident took place on Wednesday night when 27-year-old accused Sujit Kori killed his 35-year-old elder brother Ashok Kori because Ashok Kori had asked him to cook dinner.
When ice cream seller Ashok Kori returned home, he was drunk and asked his brother.
Sujit refused to cook food and there was a dispute between the two regarding this matter. Sujit picked up the ax and made a fatal attack on his brother.
After the incident, Sujit surrendered at Banthra Police Station on the outskirts of Lucknow. he was arrested.
Additional DCP South Zone Shashank Singh said the murder weapon has been recovered and the body has been sent for postmortem.
Both the brothers were unmarried and their parents had died a few years ago.
