New Delhi, a day after the arrest of a wanted man for allegedly murdering his live-in partner, police on Tuesday said he strangled her and kept the body in a cupboard because he was planning to marry her. Was pressurizing me to do it.

Vipul Taylor, 27, was previously involved in 10 cases, including attempt to murder, violation of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and the Arms Act. Police said three cases are also registered against the woman under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act in Surat, Gujarat.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Ankit Singh said that during the investigation, police learned that the two met at the victim's SP center in Surat and then moved to Delhi where they started living together.

During this time, Taylor paid Rs 7 lakh to the woman to buy a flat in Delhi.Later he pressures her for more money to pay the installments and marry him. Subsequently, he allegedly murdered her, the DCP said.

Police chased the tailor covering a distance of about 1,400 kilometers in five days across three states - Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat - to nab him in Udaipur.

On April 4, the victim's father contacted the police as he was unable to contact his daughter. She suspected that the tailor, with whom she was living for one and a half months, might have murdered her in his house in Rajapur area of ​​Dwarka.“When our team entered the flat, Rukhsar alias Rhea was found in a sitting position inside a large wardrobe with sliding doors. Superficial wounds and strangulation marks were evident on her body, indicating resistance. There were household items scattered in all three rooms, indicating a struggle. Police examined the CCTV footage and found that Taylor had left the scene in his car around 9 pm.They had crossed the Sohna-Mumbai Expressway toll plaza, he said.

Singh said, "A police team was sent to chase the car. The team followed Vipul's car from Delhi to Udaipur. Despite Vipul's attempts to mislead by changing the route, the team remained on the spot for 48 hours, when Until an accident occurred, resulting in Vipu getting injured."

After this the tailor was taken to Bhilwara by ambulance.However, doctors told police that instead of being treated, he boarded another private ambulance for Surat, he said.
