Bareilly (UP), A 27-year-old man was seriously injured when he was allegedly pushed from the first floor of a five-star hotel here by an inebriated businessman and his son. Police gave this information on Monday.

The injured person is undergoing treatment in the hospital, while the police have registered a case against the father and son and efforts are on to nab them.

The victim, Sarthak Agarwal, had gone to attend an engagement ceremony at a hotel in the city's Izzatnagar area on Saturday evening, police said, adding that Sanjay Agarwal, a businessman who deals in chemical supplies, was involved in the crime.

He told that Janakpuri resident textile businessman Riddim Arora and his father Satish Arora were also present in the same function.Police said that late in the night, the father and son allegedly misbehaved with Aggarwal in an intoxicated state and also beat him up when he protested.

They later pushed him off the terrace of the first floor of the hotel, seriously injuring him. He told that when he tried to save Aggarwal, he also tried to throw his friend Nandikar.

According to the victim's father, Riddim beat his son with kicks and punches after he became unconscious and tried to shoot him.

Injured Sarthak was admitted to SRMS Medical College by his friends.Izzatnagar SHO Jaishankar Singh said that based on Sanjay's complaint, an FIR was registered against the accused pair on Sunday under sections of the Indian Penal Code for attempt to murder, assault and intimidation.

On Monday morning, a raid was conducted to arrest the accused, but they were not found at their house.

He said that the mobile phones of Riddim and his father have been put on surveillance, the houses of their acquaintances and relatives will also be raided. Two teams are working to nab the accused.

The entire incident was captured in the CCTV cameras installed in the hotel premises. In the video clip, the accused is seen beating Sarthak, who can be seen apologizing to him. Despite this, the accused pulled him and threw him down.
