Hyderabad, India Meteorological Department on Friday issued a weather bulletin predicting heat wave in isolated areas of 20 districts of Telangana and lightning at some other places on Saturday and strong winds with speed reaching 30-4 km per hour. A thunderstorm has been predicted.
After the IMD issued a yellow heat warning, the Telangana Health Department today issued an advisory asking the public to avoid going out in the sun especially between 12.00 noon and 03.00 pm.
The department also advised people to avoid alcohol, tea, coffee and carbonated soft drinks or drinks containing large amounts of sugar as these deplete the body of fluids and may cause stomach cramps.
