NOIDA: The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has removed illegal colonizers and constructions from five hectares of land along the Hindo flood plains during an anti-encroachment drive, officials said on Thursday.
GNIDA, which works under the Uttar Pradesh government, bulldozed illegal constructions as colonizers tried to set up a new colony in Tugalpu village, the authority said in a statement.
"GNIDA CEO NG Ravi Kumar has again directed to take action against encroachment in the notified area of the authority and continuous action is being taken by the project department to remove the encroachment," it said.
Senior Manager Nagendra Singh said that the team of Work Circle 4 ran a bulldozer on illegal construction on about five hectares of land in the submerged area of Tugalpur, where some colonizers were trying to build a colony.
GNIDA General Manager and OSD of Project Department, Himanshu Verma has warned the encroachers of similar action in future.
