New Delhi [India], Delhi Police raided an illegal casino running near South Ganesh Nagar and caught five people involved in online gambling activities. Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Apoorva Gupta said a raid was conducted near Mother Dairy in South, officials said on Friday. Ganesh Nagar and five people, including the operators of the gambling racket, were arrested. The operators were identified as Maninder alias Rambal and Ajit. The raid by Delhi Police Special Staff in East district was conducted on May 29 after receiving information indicating the presence of A total of Rs 72,000 in cash, four computers and a Wi-Fi dongle with charger, believed to be linked to illegal gambling operations, were seized in a raid on a casino operator in the area. Earlier on April 30, three people were arrested. The Special Task Force of Delhi Police caught three people, identified as Pradeep Sharma alias Bobby (33), Mohit Arora (35) and Mukesh, on charges of betting for the IPL match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals, officials said. Sharma (44). Police said that one laptop, six mobile phones, one LED TV, one router and Rs 20,500 were recovered from the arrested accused. According to the police, a case has been registered under the Gambling Act at Krishna Nagar police station.
