Around 24 MoUs were signed with leading industry partners across multiple sectors to offer skill and employability-focused online programs and internships to learners across the country.

With this, the total number of industry partners of 'Swayam Plus' has increased to 36.

"Swayam Plus will have a key role in driving adoption of industry content among universities. It will also be integrated with Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) for a seamless credit transfer and accumulation experience for all learners." IIT-Madras director said in a statement.

'Swayam Plus', an initiative of the Education Ministry and IIT-Madras, was launched by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on February 27, 2024.

Since its launch, over 75,000 learners have benefited from over 165 courses, 33 of which were linked to the National Credit Framework, across multiple sectors such as IT, Healthcare, BFSI and Indian Knowledge Systems.

“Swayam Plus aims to provide diverse and high-quality multilingual content, internships and future potential job opportunities to learners across the country at an affordable price,” said Professor R Sarathi, Dean (Planning). IIT-Madras.

'Swayam Plus' will have programs in manufacturing, energy, computer science and engineering/IT/ITES, management studies, teacher education, health care, hospitality and tourism, social sciences, Indian knowledge systems, media and communications among others. ,
