According to the report, with an overall score of 79.1 out of 100, II Bombay has secured the 45th position in Engineering and Technology, an improvement of two places from the 2023 ranking. The institute has made its mark in many subjects, ranking it among the 5 broad subject areas covered by the QS rankings. These fields include engineering and technology, natural sciences, social sciences and management, and arts and humanities. Moving up the rankings, IIT Bombay has secured positions in various specialized fields. Notably, it has secured 64th position, 30th for Computer Science and Information Technology. The performance parameters ranked impressively at 42nd for Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, 42nd for Civil & Structural Engineering, 64th for Chemical Engineering, 63rd for Electrical & Electronics Engineering, 57th for Mechanical, Aeronautical & Manufacturing Engineering and an impressive 25th for Minerals & Mining. Analyzing, it is clear that IIT Bombay has excelled in various metrics in terms of academic reputation, with the institute's standout performance being in Mathematics, which has achieved a score of 79.6. Meanwhile, in employer reputation, II Bombay shone the brightest in Engineering – Minerals and Mining with an impressive score of 96.2.
