New Delhi, India's premier business school under the Ministry of Commerce, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has topped the charts in the networking category among LinkedIn's top 100 MBA programs in the world.

The ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that the institute is ranked 51st among the top 100 programmes.

Lauding the institute's achievement, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said that this prestigious recognition indicates the growing dynamism of IIFT with an emphasis on its networking strength across the globe.

Commerce Secretary Sunil Barthwal said that this achievement is a testament to the institute's continuous efforts to achieve excellence in academics and research besides building strong relationships with alumni, corporates, multilateral organizations and governments.

IIFT Vice Chancellor Rakesh Mohan Joshi said he is working to transform the institute into a world-class center of excellence in academics, research and training with global reach, with the support of stakeholders such as students, alumni, corporate and government.

It said the institute is setting up a state-of-the-art Center for International Negotiations (CIN) to provide world-class training to corporates and policy makers on international negotiations.

The Institute is also in the process of setting up its International Business Case Study Center to bring world class case studies to highlight the achievement and experience of Indian companies and policy makers on the lines of Harvard in close collaboration with exporters, corporate and government.
