The three members include IIFL Group co-promoter, R. Venkataraman, Dr. Govinda Rajulu Chintala, former Chairman of NABARD, and Kalengada Mandana Nanaiah, former Managing Director of Equifax Credit Information Services.

R. Venkataraman joined as an additional director (non-executive), while Govind Chintala and Kalengada Nanaiah joined as additional directors (non-executive and independent). The board will now have six members.

Govinda Chintala has over 20 years of experience as a Director on the Board of various financial, insurance and microfinance institutions.

He was the Chairman of NABARD till July 31, 2022. As Chairman, he led important initiatives including approving landmark projects and forming strategic partnerships.

These efforts include setting up of Long Term Irrigation Fund and Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF), support for infrastructure projects, assistance for computerization of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), implementation of special packages and expansion of healthcare infrastructure under RIDF. Additionally, they played a key role in providing rural infrastructure assistance to the states (RIAS).

Commenting on his appointment, Kalengada Nanaiah said, “During my tenure as CEO of Equifax India, I have had the opportunity to work with the microfinance industry and understand the needs and challenges of the industry. Kalengada Nanaiah was the managing director of Equifax Credit Information Services Pvt Ltd for over five years until July 2023.

He was responsible for providing leadership and oversight for credit bureaus in India.He has extensive experience, expertise and insight into the financial services sector, particularly in the areas of data, technology and analytics.

Additionally, he serves as a visiting faculty at the College of Supervisors of the Reserve Bank of India. With a deep commitment to microfinance, Kalengada Nania has been honored with awards for her dedication towards promoting workplace diversity.

R. Venkatraman is the co-promoter of IIFL Group and chairman of IIF Securities. He has been making significant contributions in setting up various businesses and leading key initiatives of IIFL Group for the last 2 years.He previously held senior managerial positions in ICICI Limited, including ICICI Securities Limited, J.P. of America. Morgan and an investment banking joint venture with Barclays-BZW was also involved. He also worked in the private equity division of GE Capital Services India Limited.
