In her complaint to the NCW, the woman claimed that she was blackmailed by a group of people claiming to be associated with the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to file a complaint against Hassan JD-S MP Prajwal Revanna.

Prajwal Revanna Former Prime Minister H.D. Is the grandson of. Deve Gowda, JD-S MLA H.D. Is the son of. Revanna has been arrested for his alleged role in the kidnapping of the victim of a sex scandal involving his son.

Following the complaint lodged with NCW, former Chief Minister and Janata Dal-State President H.D. Kumaraswamy alleged that the SIT was visiting the victims' doorsteps and threatening to implicate them in prostitution cases if they did not file a complaint against Prajwal Revanna, who is his nephew.In her complaint to the NCW, the woman claimed: “On May 3, at around 5.30 am, a call came from an unknown number, claiming to be an officer of the SIT. The caller told me that if I ever intended to return to my hometown, I should file an FIR against Prajwal Revanna in Bengaluru.' I refused to accept their demand as I have no connection with the allegations leveled against them.

“Subsequently, on May 6 at around 1.15 pm, I received a call from an unknown number and the person calling me claimed to be a member of the SI constituted by the Karnataka government. The said person told me that the video showing my face has been exposed in connection with the sex scandal involving Prajwal Revanna and hence, if I do not again file a separate FIR against the MP, I will be arrested and booked in the case. Will be falsely implicated.,

“Three people in civil dress and claiming to be members of the SIT came to my address and threatened my husband that our entire family would be arrested if I did not cooperate with their demands and file an FIR against them And will be implicated in many false cases.” Prajwal Revanna,” she alleged.

"After receiving a call around 1.15 pm on May 6, I contacted my lawyer, hence, I am contacting the NCW for redressal of my complaint," she said.

The complainant insisted that he had no grudge against Prajwal Revanna, adding that he was being dragged into the case.

The woman also said that she is a law abiding citizen and is survived by her husband and two sons and now she fears for their safety.“I do not want to be unnecessarily dragged into matters with which I have no connection. Therefore, I request assistance from NCW so that I can get justice, she claimed.

The complainant has also requested NCW to provide security to his family.

Following the complaint, the NCW issued a press note on Thursday and asked Karnataka DGP Alok Mohan to ensure the safety of the complainant.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara has appealed to the NCW to share information with the SIT which will look into the case.
