Maharajganj (UP): Terming Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the 'lord of lies', Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday said that if he becomes P again, there will be no elections in the country.
Addressing a rally here in support of Congress candidate Virendra Chaudhary, Kharge claimed that Modi has not fulfilled many of his promises.
Speaking in the presence of several Indian block leaders, including Samajwad Party (SP) national general secretary Shivpal Yadav, the Congress president said, "The Prime Minister lies. Modi is a liar and I am saying it again that Modi is the chief." Of Jhoothoon Ka ('Lord of Lies')."
“If this man (Modi) comes again (as prime minister), there will be no elections.There will be no Dalit, tribal, backward class or women candidates."
Calling the election an ideological fight, Kharge said, "We are not fighting against any particular person, be it Modi or Yogi. This is not a personal fight."
“They ask what we have done in 70 years. If we do nothing then you will not be able to become the PM of democracy. You became Prime Minister because we (Congress) made the Constitution and saved democracy.He said, "You are trying to destroy that democracy, breaking the Constitution. This will not happen. The Dalits, tribals, backward classes, farmers and intellectuals of the country will not let you break the Constitution."
Taking aim at Union Minister of State for Finance and Maharajganj MP Pankaj Chaudhary, Kharge said, 'The person whom you chose as your representative has not done any work.'
“The district shares border with Nepal and is politically important, yet the district headquarters is not connected to the railway line. Many sugar mills here disappeared under Modi's rule.Why is the Chief Minister sitting silent?"
“They talk about double engines, one of which has failed and the other has derailed,” he said.
He said that these double engines could not compare to the work done by former Congress Prime Ministers Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi.
“Their (BJP) job is only to abuse the Congress which built dams, bridges and completed big projects,” he said.
Congress President attacked the BJP government regarding the Bullet Tri Project. "A loan of Rs 1 lakh crore was taken from Japan. Where was it spent? Where is the bullet train?”
Kharge claimed that the BJP takes credit for the work done by the Congress. “If you give a finger to RSS people, they swallow the person whole.,
The Congress leader also alleged that the BJP is breaking governments by misusing central agencies and claimed that the ED and CBI are used to force "tainted" leaders to join his party.
"Shah and Modi have huge laundries in which clothes are not washed. Instead, put a tainted person in that washing machine and he comes out clean. If anyone has seen a machine that washes a man, please let me know Tell. This is the work of Modi-Shah," Kharge said.He said that they rule by scaring people.
