Los Angeles, 'Luther' alumnus Idris Elba says he is happy to work with 'Matrix' star Keanu Reeves in the third installment of 'Sonic the Hedgehog'.

"Sonic the Hedgehog 3", from Paramount Pictures, is an upcoming action adventure comedy based on the video game series published by Sega.

While Elba will be reprising his voice role of Knuckles the Echidna, Reeves will be voicing Shadow the Hedgehog in the film.

"I'm a big fan of his," Elba said in an interview with the IGN website.

She further added, “I heard that he is my fan and we are destined to make something together. So now let us begin."

Elba and Reeves previously shared credit voicing the characters in "Cyberpun 2077".

Jeff Fowler is returning to direct the third film in the franchise, following “Sonic the Hedgehog” (2020) and “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” (2022).

The cast includes Stockard Channing, Eddie Patterson, Scott Mescudi, Ellie Taylor Julian Barrett, Rory McCann, Cary Elwes, Christopher Lloyd, Paul Scheer and Roy Huebel.

The upcoming installment is scheduled to release on December 24.

It is produced by Neel. H Moritz, Toby Asher, Toru Nakahara and Hitoshi Okuno
