New Delhi, Tech giant IBM on Monday announced the launch of its GenAI Innovation Center in Kochi, which will enable enterprises, startups and partners to explore and build generative AI technology.

The company said in a release that the center will accelerate AI innovation, increase productivity and strengthen GenAI expertise in India.

It says, "As organizations transition from AI experimentation to deployment to add business value, they often find AI projects too complex or difficult to integrate due to limited skills or expertise."

According to the release, the center will provide organizations with access to IBM experts and technologies that are ready to help build, scale, and adopt enterprise-grade AI.

The center is built on InstructionLab, a new technology jointly developed by IBM and Red Hat for enhancing large language models (LLM) with clients' own data, and it is powered by the IBM 'WatsonX' AI and data platform and AI assistant. Will also take advantage of technologies.

The GenAI Innovation Center will be a part of the IBM India Software Lab in Kochi and will be managed by technical experts from IBM.

“With access to the latest generic AI technology, LLMs, case studies and IBM experts, the center is a community focused on harnessing the power of generic AI to solve social and business challenges ranging from sustainability, public infrastructure, health care education and inclusion," IBM said.
