He said, “I don't believe these exit polls. You will see Congress finishing in double digits in Karnataka on June 4. Journalists in your area know the real picture. You have to make correct predictions,” the Deputy Chief Minister said while addressing media persons.

When asked about India Bloc not being able to cross the 150 mark in the exit polls, Deputy Chief Minister Shivkumar said, 'I have already said that I do not trust any exit poll. I got a call saying that the exit polls were predicting only 2 or 3 seats for Congress in Karnataka.

Asked about his lack of confidence in claiming the number of seats in the Lok Sabha elections compared to the Assembly elections, Deputy Chief Shivakumar said: “I am claiming that we will get double digits. The assessment of these exit polls is wrong.

He said exit polls do not go deep into the interior areas for surveys and collect only a few samples to conduct their exit polls.

The Deputy Chief Minister said, "Believe me, the India faction is ready to take over power."

Meanwhile, BJP MP and Rashtriya Yuva Morcha president Tejashwi Surya welcomed the exit poll, saying that when people vote for the country, they are conscious.

“They (people) clearly know that they are not electing for the state assembly or the municipality. They have voted for BJP despite knowing that Narendra Modi will become the Prime Minister.

He said that Congress does not know who their PM candidate is.

“The vote has been given for the security of the nation, India's growth at the global level and reducing terrorist activities. Bringing back Indian students and citizens from foreign places has also had an impact,” he said.
