The decision ensures that the ICC achieved its prize equity target seven years ahead of its 2030 timeline.

The runner-up in next month's main event will receive $1.17 million, a 134 per cent increase compared to the $500,000 South Africa received for reaching the final on home soil at the Newlands Cricket Ground.

The two losing semi-finalists will win $675,000 (up from $210,000 in 2023), for a total prize pool of $7,958,080, a whopping 225 percent increase over last year's total pool of $2.45 million.

All group stage matches will be completed by October 15. The semi-finals are scheduled for October 17 and 18, followed by the final on October 20.
