SISGrass has completed work on improving the quality and consistency of the playing surface for amateur and professional level cricket, making the game accessible to millions of people.SIS has invested in India after the International Cricket Council (ICC) allowed the use of hybrid surfaces for T2 and 50-over competitions. After the success of installing the hybrid on English cricket grounds, SIS decided to develop the technology in India.

The universal machine, which is being used to install the Hybri surface in Dharamshala, was first developed by SISGrass in 2017. It injects a small percentage of polymer fibers into the natural turf inside cricket stadiums.

This structure is more resilient to the stresses generated during play, helping to extend the life of pitches, guaranteeing uniform bounce, and reducing pressure on busy fielders. The completed installations are still predominantly natural grass, with only 5% polymer fiber used. This ensures that completely natural pitch characteristics are maintained.
