Los Angeles [US], Actor Evan Mitchell, who plays Aemond Targaryen in 'Game of Thrones' prequel 'House of the Dragon', recently revealed that he has not watched the original show.

In an interview with ComicBook, Evan Mitchell talked at length about the franchise and why he hasn't watched 'Game of Thrones', reports Deadline.

He said, "I haven't seen the original Game of Thrones. I have a confession. I've never seen it and I didn't want to see it in this role."

Mitchell continued, "I didn't want it to inform my decisions in any way, you know, whether it be consciously or subconsciously. I wanted to bring something new. Emond is kind of, You know."

House of the Dragon creator George R.R. Martin teased in December 2023 that he was already working with the writing team on seasons 3 and 4 of the fantasy drama.

Martin wrote on his blog, "The two sat down in a room with Ryan Condal and his writing staff (Sarah Hayes, Tee Mikel, David Hancock and Philip Goslett) talking about the third and fourth seasons of House of the Dragon. Spend the day." "They were lively, fun discussions, and we did some good work... although two days was not enough. There is so much to cover that I'm not sure twenty days would be enough."

Martin also said he has watched two rough-cut episodes of House of the Dragon Season 2, saying, "I thought both episodes were pretty good. (And they're not even finished yet). Dark, mind you. .They can make you cry. (I didn't cry.) Powerful, emotional, just the kind of thing I love. (What can I say?) Was inspired by (Love tragedies and history plays best)."
