Chitradurga (Karnataka): The BJP on Tuesday attacked the ruling Congress government after a doctor treated a patient using a mobile phone flashlight at a government hospital in the state's Chitradurga district, calling it 'dark fate'.

According to sources, the area has been affected by power cuts for the last one week and the hospital is also no exception.

BJP's 'dark destiny' jibe is clearly targeted at the ruling Congress' scheme to provide free electricity up to 200 units under 'Griha Jyoti' households.

The BJP described it as a 'dark fate' given as another 'guarantee' on the completion of one year of the Siddaramaiah government. The party also shared this video on its 'X' handle.

The video shows a doctor treating a patient at a hospital in Molakalmuru talu in Chitradurga district using the flashlight of a mobile phone and the Medica Store relying on the flashlight of their mobile phones to deliver medicines to the patients.

"One Year Guarantee 'Dark Fate' This is a gift from the Congress government of Karnataka, which is celebrating the completion of one year of its tenure. The Congress government led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has reached such a bad state that Electricity is not supplied even to the treasury, and there is no electricity! This is a 'chombu' (round water pot) government!", BJP said. ' But said.

Congress had called the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as 'Chombu' government, which is a symbol of emptiness.

In retaliation, the BJP launched a campaign calling the Siddaramaiah regime a 'Chippu' government. Chippu represents futility.
